I product reviews might be my favorite thing to write. Mostly, because I have to LOVE it in order to choose to write the review, so it’s typically it’s the easiest for me to write. Plus, I love sharing and talking about new products and my experiences.
Mac Cosmetics just came out with a new collection MACGirls, Personality Palettes. There are 6 palettes all with different shade combinations. Each palette has a particular color theme that provides options for both day and night-time looks. I personally got to try out Prissy Princess and Basic Bitch (I know you’re reading this, so sorry, Mom). The colors were so velvety, I was truly suprised by how much I liked the formula. Prissy Princess (my favorite out of the two) is filled with cool pinks and taupes. Basic Bitch has cool, muted smokey shades, with some AMAZING glitters thrown in. I’m actually a little obsessed with that bold dark glitter. The four palettes that I haven’t tried are: Rockin’ Rebel, it has a bit more color with cool pops of blue and green, Power Hungry it’s filled with warm gold and bronze tones, Mischeif Minx, it has deep, warm neutrals, and Fashion Fanatic it has bold pinks and warm corals.
Alright let’s get to what you’re really here for, the swatches!
The Prissy Princess palette is definitely my favorite, it’s like a new, cooler toned neutral palette with lots of glitter. I’m also truly obsessed with the highlight that it has. It blended into my skin like butter and has the most amazing sheen
Each palette has eight eyeshadows and a highlighter, and it seems like the formula is new as the finishes are listed as Satin Shine, Smooth Pearl, Foiled Shadow, and Creamy Matte. It seems like a “cooler” neutral palette, though I’m not sure it’s truly cool-toned!
The Basic B**** palette is GORGEOUS and perfect for a night out. A smoky selection of greys to create a sultry look for Fall! The glitters in it are the definitely stand out shades.
