Huda Beauty Obsession Palette Review and Swatch

These Huda Beauty Obsession palettes have been talked about so much recently.  Either people are talking about how amazing they are and how Huda Beauty can do no wrong, or how they’re too small and not worth the money.  I couldn’t decide which palette I liked best, so I bought all four during the Sephora Rouge sale.  Initially, when they arrived and I opened the box, I thought I would only be keeping the Mauve and the Warm Brown palette.  I thought that the Smokey would be too cool toned for me and that I wouldn’t get any use out of the Electric.  I’m clearly terrible at judging books by their covers, or maybe I’m just a makeup hoarder (probably the latter), but I’m keeping all four after playing with them for almost two weeks. The formula is the same as the full sized palettes, the mattes blend easily and the shimmers are amazing.

Before I get to the swatches I want to show you the price breakdown.  These palettes are slightly more expensive per ounce than the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette, but still much less than some other very popular palettes (the table is sorted by price per ounce).

The Electric Palette is so fun for those nights out.  I’ve been using these colors with the Rose Gold palette to brighten up my otherwise dull eye looks and I love it.

The Smokey Palette- I definitely thought I would be returning this palette just looking at it in the pan.  I thought it was way too cool toned for me.  I was so wrong.  These shimmers are INCREDIBLE.

The Warm Brown palette– Do we really need more warm toned shades?  YES!! I DO!!! I just returned my Naked Heat palette, so I actually really needed the reds in my collection. The gold shimmer is amazing too.

The Mauve Palette- Last, but definitely NOT least, is the Mauve palette.  I did a poll on my Instagram and it seems like this is everyone’s favorite palette.  It’s such a good mix of warm and cool tones and it incorporates some “new” colors (aka not brown).  Also, those shimmers are giving me life!!!!!  If you can’t tell by now, I have an obsession with shimmers….

The collection launched at CultBeauty.co.uk on November 1, and at Sephora.com, Harrods, Selfridges, and ShopHudaBeauty.com from November 2. Global prices are: $27USD / £25.00 / €29.95 / AED135.00 / $48.00AUD / INR 2,250.00.

Which palette did you pick up???  Did these swatches change your mind at all?  Let me know down below in the comments. img_2634-1
